Child Therapist

As part of my therapy practice, I enjoy working with children and teenagers. Since 1999, I have worked as a child therapist, providing in-home therapy through a Medicaid funded program to countless children and their families. These children are at risk due to the nature of their behaviors and the issues their families face on a daily basis.

Over the years, I’ve gained an understanding of how to help children and adolescents who are exhibiting extreme behaviors. My experience also includes addressing the challenges parents and families face in these situations. Through my experiences working with children, teens and their families, I have developed the knowledge and skills needed to successfully address the most challenging issues an individual or family can face in life.

As a Therapist working with Children and Teenagers, I focus on:

  • Working with children and teens to creatively achieve and maintain awareness, acceptance, and change.
  • Establishing safety and security through trusting one’s self and the ones we love.
  • Strengthening trust of self and others.
  • Increasing self-esteem and reducing anxiety by exploring feelings, thoughts and the choices we make.
